Ash Seats and
Carrying Yokes...
Deeply contoured with
a rounded edge to increase your comfort when
kneeling or carrying your canoe. Durable urethane
finish with the look of hand-rubbed oil.
Definitely not the stock wood seat and yoke found on
most canoes. |
Quality Decks ...
Made of tough roto-molded
polyethylene with comfortable molded-in carrying grip that is
easy on your hand. The deck is fastened to the canoe with
aluminum rivets plus three stainless steel bolts. |

Superior Gunwales...
A Mohawk exclusive with a
rounder inside edge. Pick up a Mohawk from the side and feel
the difference - no sharp inside edges to cut into your hand.
A special aluminum insert slides inside the gunwale to
reinforce stress areas where the carrying yoke is attached. |
Why does Mohawk use
aluminum hangers for seat installation?

|
All of the stress is
spread over the hull rather than a few points on the
gunwale.
This creates less
obstruction on the top of the gunwale to ease loading and
unloading on racks.
Seat height and angle
are still totally adjustable with spacers* and
bolts.
*If you would like
to change the height or angle of your seat you may purchase a
kit from Mohawk, or as an option, have it installed when you
purchase your canoe.

Seat Adjustments...
Mohawk's seat adjustment
system is more versatile than most because you not only have
the option of raising and tilting your seat, but you can also
lower it. This is much more difficult with 6" bolts and
spacer.

These "Seat
Adjuster" kits are $10.00 per seat, installed or sold
separately.
For
easy carrying and loading, buy a lightweight Mohawk Royalex or R-84
Royalite canoe instead of a heavy, flexible bottom, warp-prone
polyethylene canoe. |
